ODER-WARTA REGION
In April 1945, one of the last battles of the Second World War began with the Berlin offensive from the Seelow Heights, with tens of thousands of casualties on the Soviet, Polish and German sides. To mark this occasion and in awareness of its historical responsibility, the district and the town of Seelow are planning a commemorative event on Wednesday, 16 April 2025 a commemorative event to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Seelow Heights.
